The world’s largest circulated English language daily broadsheet newspaper is the Times of India. It was founded in 1838 as The Bombay Times and Journal of Commerce. It has a readership of 13.3 million and is world's most-visited newspaper website with 159 million page views in May 2009.

The world’s largest conventional weapon ever was detonated on September 11, 2007 in Russia. It was nicknamed as the Father of All Bombs. The very powerful bomb is said to be 4x times as powerful as the Mother of all Bombs of the US making it the by far the world’s most powerful conventional or non-nuclear weapon.

Pennzoil wins a US$10.53 billion verdict against Texaco in November 1985. It is the largest civil verdict in the United States history. It stemmed from Texaco executing a contract to buy Getty Oil after Pennzoil had entered into an unsigned, yet still binding, buyout contract with Getty.

The largest underground hydrogen bomb test in the United States occurred on November 6, 1971. The test was code-named Cannikin and was conducted on Amchitka Island in the Aleutians.

Summerfest, a yearly music festival held at the 75-acre Henry Maier Festival Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA was certified by Guinness World Record in 1999 as the “largest Musical Festival in the World”. The festival lasts for 11 days and is made up of 11 stages with performances from over 700 bands. It is also known as “The Big Gig”.

The world’s largest radio telescope ever constructed is located at the Arecibo Observatory in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. The observatory opened in 1963. It is operated by Cornell University. The radio telescope in the observatory is 305 m and is the largest single-aperture telescope ever constructed.

The largest fixed-wing aircraft ever built is the Hughes H-4 Hercules. It performs its maiden and only flight on November 2, 1947. It was nicknamed Spruce Goose and was built from wood. It was the largest flying boat ever built. It also has the largest wingspan and height of any aircraft in history. Spruce Goose is currently on display at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in Oregon, USA.

The world’s largest mangrove forest is the Sundarbans in Bangladesh. A Cyclone hit the country and destroyed the world’s largest single block of tidal halophytic mangrove forest and killed about 5,000 people.
